My boys went to a five day surf camp with Pacific Surf School. They were 7 and 9 years old and this was their first time surfing so they were nervous (as was I). Their instructor, Alex, was patient, attentive, and great with kids. I chose Pacific Surf School because their website (and I verified by phone) said that they have an instructor to student ratio of 1:4. I noticed that some of the other camps on the beach had up to 10-12 kids per instructor! Our camp had only 3 students with one instructor so I was so happy that we went with Pacific Surf School. By the end of camp, both of the boys were surfing. They even got to go paddle boarding on Mission Bay. I highly recommend Pacific Surf School for lessons or camp.
